Shengxing Station(勝興車站)

Longteng Bridge(龍騰斷橋)

Not far from Shengxing Station lies the Longteng Bridge, an iconic historical site that tells the story of Taiwan’s railway past. Originally built in 1908, this red-brick bridge was partially destroyed by a major earthquake in 1935, leaving behind dramatic ruins. Nanzhuang Old Street(南庄老街)

For a taste of Miaoli’s Hakka culture, Nanzhuang Old Street is the perfect place to explore. This lively street is filled with traditional Hakka snacks such as leicha(擂茶), a ground tea mixed with nuts and grains, and osmanthus jelly(桂花糕), a fragrant local delicacy.
